Fort Lewis College Theatre Department announces auditions

Fort Lewis College Theatre Department will be holding its fall 2017 auditions from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 30 and 31 at the MainStage in Theatre Hall. All callbacks will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 1.

Auditions are open to everyone, including all FLC students, faculty and staff, and the general public. Come prepared to be cast for either show.

Sign up for an audition time on Call Board in Theatre Hall or call 247-7089.

Audition requirements: Prepare a 90-second monologue and 16 bars of a song. An accompanist will be provided – bring your own clearly marked copy of music or you can sing to prerecorded music (you will not be allowed to sing a cappella). Dance auditions on Friday at callbacks only.

Rehearsals: Two plays by Pinter will begin Sept. 4 and “Urinetown: The Musical” will begin Sept. 18.

Performances will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 7 for two plays by Pinter – “The Lover,” directed by Felicia Meyer and “The Dumb Waiter,” directed by Alicia Aron. Nov. 3-11 will be “Urinetown: The Musical,” music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann, book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. Directed by Dr. Ginny Davis.
