Fort Lewis College to hold lecture about textiles

A free lecture about taking care of textiles at home will be given at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Lyceum at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

The center’s curator, Jeanne Brako, will give the presentation and discuss ways to preserve family treasures, such as quilts, clothing, embroideries and rugs. Best practices for storage, pest control, stabilization, cleaning and display will be discussed.

The lecture is free and open to all.
