The Southwest Colorado Special Olympics basketball team, the Durango Dynamites, will play an exhibition game during halftime of the Skyhawk men’s game Saturday at Fort Lewis College.
FLC’s women’s and men’s basketball teams will play Colorado Mesa University respectively at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Whalen Gymnasium.
Admission to the games is free for Special Olympics athletes and volunteer students who play in the game. Guardians will also get in free.
Names will be checked off the team roster at the gate and blue jerseys will be distributed for the game.
People who want to play in the game are asked to sign up with Cathy Simbeck by 2 p.m. Saturday and arrive before 8 p.m. with basketball shoes and attire.
