Fort Lewis College’s Joshua Blaylock finished the last week of his regular-season career as the best offensive player in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Blaylock scored 50 points in two games last week as he dropped 20 against Adams State and 30 against Westminster. He was rewarded for his efforts Monday as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference named Blaylock the Offensive Player of the Week. The announcement marks the second time this season Blaylock has earned this honor.
Coming off a 37-point outburst in a loss to Colorado Mines, Blaylock poured in 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting in Tuesday’s 80-65 win against the Grizzlies. He followed up that performance by nailing five 3-pointers en route to a 30-point, 11-for-18 performance in a losing effort to Westminster on Friday.
Blaylock was named the RMAC Preseason Player of the Year and was voted on the All-RMAC Preseason team this year. Last season, he was earned a spot on the NABC All-South Central Region First Team, All-RMAC First Team, RMAC Shootout Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Week once.
