The Fort Lewis College volleyball team got behind early at home against CSU-Pueblo on Saturday night but came back to force a decisive fifth set.
Unfortunately for FLC, the ThunderWolves (9-14, 7-7 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) took the final set tiebreaker 15-11 to win the match 3-2.
Hannah Martinez led the Skyhawks with 11 kills, while Bailey Longacre added 10. Martinez also led the team with 26 digs and three aces. Kendra Swackenberg led Fort Lewis with 32 assists.
The Skyhawks (5-17, 4-10 RMAC) fell behind after dropping two close games 25-23 and 25-21 to start the match. Fort Lewis came back, however, to take the next two 25-18 and 25-23 before losing the tiebreaker.
Fort Lewis will try to bounce back at 5 p.m. Friday against Colorado Christian at Whalen Gymnasium before hosting Colorado School of Mines at 5 p.m. Saturday.
