Fort Lewis volleyball perfect in RMAC play

First back-to-back RMAC wins in 3 years

It has been a historic start to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference league play for the Fort Lewis College volleyball team.

With Saturday’s 3-1 win at Black Hills State, the Skyhawks won their second consecutive league game, a feat that hadn’t been accomplished since 2013. They’re a perfect 2-0 to start RMAC play.

Ally Dell’Amico led FLC with 17 digs and five of the Skyhawks impressive total of nine match aces.

Delaney Scanlan had 35 assists to lead Fort Lewis, while Maddie LeBlanc and Laine Waters had eight kills each in the match win.

The Skyhawks took the first set 25-17 and the second 25-23 before dropping the third 25-18. FLC didn’t give the hosts a chance for a fifth set comeback as they closed it out in the fourth 25-20.

The Skyhawks will open their home season at 7 p.m., Friday against UC-Colorado Springs.
