El Pomar Foundation announced Tuesday that $15,000 in funding has been allocated to four Durango nonprofits.

Southwest Center for Independence was awarded $5,000 for expanding accessible transportation for underserved communities; Durango School District 9-R was awarded $2,500 for the Durango High School Native American Club; iAM Music was awarded $2,500 for a youth scholarship program; and United Way of Southwest Colorado was awarded $5,000 for AmeriCorps youth mental health action teams.
