Four Corners Gem and Mineral will offer a free metal clay jewelry presentation and demonstration from 7 o 8:30 p.m. March 18 at the Four Corners Gem & Mineral Clubhouse, Brookside Park, 2351 N. Main Ave.
Nancy Fredrick Conrad will present about a variety of metal clays, comparing their properties, firing methods and finishing techniques. Metals will include, copper, bronze, steel, pure silver, sterling silver and gold.
Participants will learn the history and development, as well as the methods of use and technical information including stone-setting. A short demonstration will be provided, accompanied by many samples.
This talk will precede classes taught by Fredrick Conrad, beginning March 30. The first weekend workshop (March 30-31) will use silver with possible gold application, and the second weekend workshop (April 13-14) will use copper, bronze and steel.
