Four players scored in double figures for the Bobcats on the road Friday night. Ignacio High School needed every bit of it to come away with a win.
Bryce Finn scored 16 points while Gabe Tucson and Dylan Labarthe each had 12 and Joe Garcia scored 11, as IHS overcame playing without senior guard Brady McCaw to beat Ouray 55-50 on Friday night.
Kaden Nelson scored 13 points for the Trojans (0-5, 0-3 SJBL) while Haden Hart added 12 for the home team. Jack Leo also had 13 points, but IHS was able to hold off the Trojans, who roared back from a 21-11 deficit after one quarter.
IHS (3-2, 2-0 San Juan Basin League) will stay on the road to play Ridgway (2-2, 1-1 SJBL) at 3 p.m. Saturday. Then, its a huge matchup with No. 2 Mancos (5-0, 3-0 SJBL) at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Mancos.
