The Pine River Library will offer the free “Know Before You Go” basic avalanche awareness program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, in Bayfield.
The Friends of the San Juans will facilitate the 90-minute workshop that will focus on avalanche awareness, avoidance and safe travel practices among other tips.
