The Daniels Fund and USO Colorado Springs recently supplied a grant to provide eligible veterans with free cyber-security training through the SANS Institute VetSuccess Immersion Academy, a three- to four-month immersion program.
The grant is part of the Daniels Fund Boundless Opportunity Scholarship Program, which gives scholarships to nontraditional students.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah or Wyoming, demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and problem-solving skills on the SANS CyberTalent Aptitude Assessment, and participate in interviews with SANS CyberTalent officials and partner organizations. Graduates receive Global Information Assurance Certification.
Application deadline is Oct. 10.
Classes will begin Nov. 6 and continue through February.
