Bayfield businesses, town government and others are partnering to offer a free drive-thru flu-shot clinic Saturday.

The clinic, presented by TBK Bank, will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Pine Cone, 271 N. Mountain View Drive.

Front-line workers in retail, restaurants and personal care who may not typically get a seasonal flu shot are especially encouraged to attend. Any under- or uninsured adults and children are welcome, as well, according to a news release from the town of Bayfield.

The clinic is in partnership with the town of Bayfield, San Juan Basin Public Health, Lewis True Value, Tailwind Nutrition and the Pine River Valley Centennial Rotary Club.

Coupons for free ice-cream cones at The Pine Cone, along with merchandise from TBK Bank and samples from Tailwind Nutrition, will be provided, the release said.

The town encourages people who have private insurance coverage or Medicare Part B to make a flu-shot appointment with Bayfield Pharmacy 884-9133 or their preferred pharmacy or medical office.
