Life-Long Learning Free Lecture Series will present “The Rio Grande Southern Railroad: A Short, Eventful History” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in Noble Hall, Room 130, at Fort Lewis College.
Cres Fleming, retired chemist, railroad historian, volunteer and collector, will share how the Rio Grande Southern connected the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad at Durango with the D&RG at Ridgway, discuss boom times and explain the development of the Galloping Geese.
