The once a year Pie Sale fundraiser for Durango Friends of the Arts was the most successful ever. The traditional day before Father’s Day Pie Sale held at the Durango Farmers Market had great teamwork thanks to JoAnn Trimberger, chairwoman and organizer; helpers Tom Trimberger and Dan Ammann; The Durango Farmers Market Committee and TBK Bank.
About 40 homemade pies, made by DFA members, were sold out in less than three hours. Thank you to all the pie creators: Susie Ammann, Sally Bradley, Carol Bruno, Pam Fuller, Marilyn Garst, Rani Holt, Carol House, Mary Kay Lambert, Nancy Macho, Kristi Nelson, Betsy Norton, Mary Orsini, Myriam Palmer, Leslee Shell, Carol Treat and Susan Weirather.
And appreciation to all those who bought and, hopefully, enjoyed the pies. These delicious pie profits added to the Durango Friends of the Arts Grant Fund to benefit community-spirited art organizations and projects and enhance the arts in our area.
