Thanks to our community of book lovers, book readers and book donators for your continued support during the Friends of the Durango Public Library’s May 19 and 20 book sale. We are a volunteer-based organization supporting the library’s programs and projects. All funds received through the book sales, Lela’s book store and private money donations go to providing the library with resources to satisfy the needs of the community we all live in. FOL provided over 100 pounds of children’s books to educators and little libraries after this sale. Your support enabled us to sell over 3,000 pounds of books!
Thanks to over 100 volunteers from the FOL membership who gave their time, efforts and muscle strength to transport the program rooms at the library into a book sale extravaganza. Big thanks to The Wells Group for the use of their truck to transport the hundreds of books.
If you missed this sale, FOL will have another book sale July 15 and Aug. 19.
