Fans of science fiction or fantasy entertainment would be interested to know that actor Jason Momoa was in Durango this week.

The 6-foot-4-inch-tall Hawaiian-born Momoa played Ronan Dex on “Stargate Atlantis” and the Dothraki King Khal Drogo on the popular and award-winning HBO series “Game of Thrones.”

He will soon be hitting the silver screen as Aquaman in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Momoa is also known for being married to Lisa Bonet of “The Cosby Show” fame.

While in town, he shopped for garb for an upcoming role, slept at the Strater Hotel and stopped by El Rancho for at least one libation. It apparently was not his first trip to Durango.
