FARMINGTON – For
No, it isn’t his long-anticipated sixth novel, Winds of Winter, but rather a new bookstore in Santa Fe. Beastly Books is located next to Martin’s Jean Cocteau Cinema.
The author, who has called New Mexico home for years, announced the bookstore’s opening on his blog earlier this month. The Santa Fe New Mexicanfollowed up Monday.
“Dozens of terrific, award-winning, bestselling writers have appeared at the (Jean Cocteau theater) to speak, read and sign their books,” Martin wrote, adding that the lobby was “far too small for us to display all of those wonderful autographed books.”
At the end of November, Martin opened Beastly Books next door.
Martin said stocked authors included Diana Gabaldon of Outlander fame, Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series, Anne Perry’s historical fiction books, S.M. Stirling’s science fiction books and many others.
Martin also said the bookstore would have a large selection of his own books, all signed.
He also said orders for autographed books could be made online too.
