With the $174,000 we pay him every year, Cory Gardner can afford to turn down the virtually free health care we also offer him. That way he can get a few miles out of complaining about Obamacare. But when he says that his family “felt first hand the pain” of being canceled, I’ve got to call foul. Did he have a child’s chemotherapy denied? A surgery canceled? An office visit delayed? Did someone in his family miss a tooth cleaning? I’m guessing the answer is “no.”
My private insurance policy was canceled under Obamacare and was immediately replaced with a better one for a fraction of the price. If that’s the pain of Obamacare, I say bring it on.
