Southwest Center for Independence will sponsor “Same Struggle, Different Difference,” a gathering of solidarity for people with differences, such as disability, orientation, age, history, creed or origin, from noon to 1 p.m. Monday on Main Avenue.
Participants will create a line from College Drive to 32nd Street, without blocking traffic, and stand in silence to express the message: “There is power in knowing my struggle is your struggle and yours, mine.”
Participants are also are encouraged to bring a sign that promotes the cause or identifies a difference in people.
