The annual gem and mineral show will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 7-8 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 9 at La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.
Sixty dealers from the West will sell gems, minerals, fossils, beads, handcrafted jewelry, lapidary equipment and more.
Mayor Dick White will perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:40 a.m. Friday, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the show’s sponsor, the Four Corners Gem and Mineral Club.
