The Southwest Colorado Genealogical Society will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the La Plata County Historical Society’s Animas Museum, 3065 West Second Ave.
Robert McDaniel will give a presentation on use of historic Durango newspaper databases. Currently, researchers have access to a the searchable database of local newspapers at the Durango Public Library. Many newspapers are accessible through the database including The Durango Herald, the Ignacio Chieftain and the Pagosa Journal, to name a few.
