Southwest Colorado Genealogical Society will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Animas Museum, 3065 West Second Ave.
A brief business meeting will be held, and artist, author and archaeologist Charles M. Carrillo will speak about Abiquiu Pueblo, N.M. Carrillo is the recipient of the Museum of International Folk Art’s Hispanic Heritage Award; and numerous first place, best of show, and grand prize awards, including a lifetime achievement award in 2006, from the Spanish Colonial Arts Society Traditional Spanish Market in Santa Fe.
The meeting is free and open to all.
