First, I do not know the family of Geo Terrazas, the guy who got hauled away by ICE recently and is being detained by them. But I do know he is one of us: a hardworking family man who just wants a good life here. He is a Dreamer, brought to this country at age 8, and has made a life for himself and his family, just like all of us.
What is wrong with this country that we grab people off the streets or, in Geo’s case, lure him and his partner to a location for a job estimate? This is not us. This is fascism, pure and simple. His family does not deserve this; we don’t deserve this.
