Four Corners Geological Society will hold a dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in Sitter Family Hall, Room 710, at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.

Ali Jaffry of Applied Stratigraphix will present “A Sequence Stratigraphers Perspective on Layer Cake Stratigraphy.”

The meeting is open to all. Reservations are required, and cost is $20 per person. The deadline to reserve is 5 p.m. Oct. 16.
