While the countdown to the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks’ home- and regular-season opener is just nine days away, the women’s soccer program will wait it out at home. FLC, the 24th-ranked team in Division II to start the season, will host Western State at 3 p.m. Wednesday in an exhibition at Dirks Field, then will host its alumnae game 1 p.m. Saturday on campus. FLC will host Texas Woman’s at 3 p.m. Sept. 4 in its regular-season opener, part of the four-game Fort Lewis Women’s Soccer Classic from Sept. 4 to Sept. 6.
