Anthony Smalls received a surprise gift card from Tim Walsworth, executive director of the Durango Business Improvement District, last year. The $5 gift cards are being given out by BID and the Bank of Colorado as a part of “Random Acts of Kindness Week.”
Next week is national “Random Acts of Kindness Week,” and a handful of Durango shoppers might receive a small surprise.
The Durango Business Improvement District and the Bank of Colorado are sponsoring their own acts of kindness for unsuspecting downtown shoppers, the district said.
Tens shoppers will be randomly selected Monday through Friday and given a $5 gift card as a thanks for shopping locally.
