Oh, Michael Jarvis (Herald letter online). Yet another straight, white, masquerading-as-a-Christian, conservative male spewing discrimination, vitriol and hate in the name of God. Yawn.
Now, I don’t want to seem insensitive to your plight. I’m sure it’s scary facing your looming irrelevance in an increasingly diverse society. Seeing women, people of color, non-Christians and, yes, LGBT people take your seat at the table means that you have to reckon with the loss of your long-held, unearned privilege. Ouch.
Fear not! I’m certain God has not forsaken you. Surely you will be guided to adapt and evolve to be, well, Christ-like. In the meantime, I am sending thoughts and prayers.
