God’s laws supersede conflicts with Bible

The Durango Herald’s editorial (Dec. 10) about Colorado’s public discrimination law article covering a Denver baker, Jack Phillips, failed to mention the most serious discrimination possible – aimed at God, the King James Bible and Judeo-Christians.

The Herald also personally demeaned God when stating: “As such, the baker or any business person’s religious beliefs are irrelevant when it comes to serving the public,” and “Phillips’ religious liberty defense has no legal merit.” In other words: Out with God!

Phillips was within his legal rights when he chose to follow the Bible and refused to bake a wedding cake for two gays. According to the scriptures, God’s laws supersede when man’s laws conflict with his word.

Phillips should be admired for setting the example all of us should follow.

Judge Robert N. Spencer is not obeying the Bible or recognizing America was established under Christian principles. He and all others involved owe Phillips an apology, a clear record and reimbursement of his legal and other financial losses.

Gays, lesbians and transgenders cannot claim discrimination since their sin – not the individuals who choose this lifestyle – is being judged.

If anyone can be charged for discriminating against homosexual sin, then we better get ready to face judgement, like Sodom and Gomorrah did.

God already is showing anger over this kind of behavior.

Removing any trace of God from public places in America, including schools, has brought severe consequences we are experiencing. Mass murders, moral decay, government corruption at all levels and horrific, widespread destructive weather will continue to increase and cause the destruction of this country if we don’t return to God.

“If my people will humble themselves and pray, and search for me and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land – King James Bible, 2 Chronicles 7:14.”
