Jozy Altidore ended a six-month scoreless streak with a pair of goals, leading the United States over Nigeria 2-1 on Saturday night in the Americans’ World Cup send-off match. Altidore scored on a crossing pass from Fabian Johnson in the 31st minute, and he scored again in the 68th minute off a 30-yard pass from Michael Bradley. The U.S. opens play in the World Cup on June 16 against Ghana is Natal, Brazil.
