GOP’s intent is to undermine Mueller

Much of what the “Party of Grumpy Old White Men” is doing would be laughable were it not so cynical and sinister.

Sens. Grassley and Graham will waste resources investigating a British citizen who actually tipped off the FBI last year about Russian interference in our election, and whose research has proved largely accurate.

The party wastes more resources re-doing investigations into a past – defeated – Trump opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Meanwhile, bumbling Trump worshiper Devin Nunes weaponizes the committee he earlier recused himself from, turning against the FBI and the Department of Justice.

The overall intent here is obvious – to divert attention from and undermine the Mueller investigation, which will likely prove the president attempted to obstruct justice and, in his life as a private citizen, violated numerous banking laws and regulations.

The Colorado connection here is the Koch and energy industry representative, our Senator Cory Gardner, claiming to be brave and principled by “standing up” to Jeff Sessions on marijuana, when he will not speak out about the undermining of our institutions and the turning of government power against Trump’s political enemies.

Gardner also manages to ignore the ongoing threat to our elections from Russia. And, in the ultimate feat of multi-tasking, Gardner remains silent on the further threat to our democracy posed by our childish, unhinged, unqualified president.

The GOP – Gardner included – is morally bankrupt and un-American. One and all, they deserved to be turned out of office in 2018 and 2020.
