If you didn’t know how or when to dispose of your old batteries, the Durango Recycle Center has facilitated a solution. Plus, it will help the environment.
As of Monday, the center began collecting batteries six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a news release issued by the Durango Business Improvement District on Wednesday morning.
Batteries are accepted for 50 cents per pound with a 2 pound minimum. The city collects other electronics Saturday.
