Grasshopper Landscaping and Lawn Services announces new hires

Grasshopper Landscaping and Lawn Services announced two new members of its team.

Grasshoppers has hired Greg Sykes as its head arborist. Sykes spent nine years with the city of Durango’s forestry division, five as head arborist. He is well versed in tree types and tree diseases in Southwest Colorado. He will oversee Grasshopper’s contract to manage the programs to continue Durango’s membership in the Tree City program.

Amy Rutledge has been hired as head of gardening division. She brings a wide range of experience and talents to the team, including bookkeeping, account management and gardening and property landscape maintenance. After a stint on the gardening crew at Gardening Angels along the Front Range, Rutledge returned home to Durango last year.
