Great Old Broads for Wilderness and members of the Four Corners Broadband invite anyone interested in the protection of public lands to an open house on Wednesday.
The gathering – to learn about environmental issues close to home and talk about ideas for action – is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 605 East Seventh Ave. in Durango.
There are 36 Broadband chapters across the country. Members (there are men, too) speak out on local and national environmental issues, coordinate events to raise awareness and monitor the damage to public lands caused by grazing, motorized access and mineral extraction.
