Since La Plata Electric is a year from no longer using Tri-State to provide energy to our utility, it is important to have people on the LPEA board of directors that understand the industry and can communicate effectively with both members and the LPEA management.
After examining Greg Barber’s background, I feel that he is the right board member for District 2. Greg is a recently retired accountant with 30 years experience. The last 14 years, he has been working for a large utility company as CFO in Arizona. With this work experience he has great leadership skills and understands the finances of utilities.
Greg is committed to keeping electricity costs low for our members. I believe that Greg Barber has the tools the LPEA board of directors needs to work through these changing times that these next few years present.
With his knowledge of finance, member services, utility regulation and operations, he would be a big asset for LPEA. Please take a look at his bio before casting your vote.
