Durango’s grilling competition, “Men Who Grill,” returns from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 11 at Buckley Park. This family-friendly event features all-you-can-eat grilled creations, live music, kid activities and a beer tent from Steamworks Brewing.
Registration is now open for amateur grilling teams who want to compete for the People’s Choice Award. Registration is free, but teams must supply their own gas grills and food to serve.
This event raises money for the Women’s Resource Center. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. For children 5 to 12 years old, tickets are $15 and children younger 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased at Maria’s Bookshop, the Women’s Resource Center and online at www.wrcdurango.org.
