Local and Nashville-based country singer-songwriter Tyller Gummersall with the Tyller Gummersall Band will continue the Alpine Bank-Community Concert Hall "Concerts at the Park" series on Thursday, June 25.
Concerts in the park are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Buckley Park in Durango.
A La Plata County native, Gummersall began his career at age 8 performing Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin'" at the La Plata County Fair talent contest. That same year, Gummersall began lessons with his music mentor and national flat pick champion Gary Cook of the Bar D Wranglers.
Gummersall recorded his "Beer and a Rose" album at the special Welcome to 1979 analog studio in Nashville, Tenn., with his "dream band" featuring band members of his music heroes Ryan Adams and John Prine. In early 2015, Gummersall released the EP "Kiss Me" with his most recent trio, and work is underway on a new album including Nashville super musicians.
