Gov. John Hickenlooper appointed Anthony Edwards as judge for the San Juan County Court in Silverton.
Edwards will fill a vacancy caused by the retirement of Judge Lyndon K. Skinner.
Edwards currently is a sole practitioner at San Juan Law Office LLC. He has a general practice with an emphasis in business and transactional matters, civil litigation, criminal law, real estate, and trusts and estates. He also serves as a Silverton town trustee and is CEO/founder of Crowdfunding Offerings Ltd., a software service company.
Edwards earned an undergraduate degree online from Capella University in 2003, a master’s degree in water resources from University of New Mexico in 2007, and a juris doctor from University of New Mexico School of Law in 2009.
The appointment will be effective July 1.
