Habitat for Humanity workforce housing approved as Enterprise Zone Contribution Project

Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County’s workforce housing project was approved as an Enterprise Zone Contribution Project by the State Economic Development Commission on Dec. 17.

This designation allows donors of $250 or more to be eligible for a 25% state tax credit, and a 12.5% state tax credit on in-kind donations.

This project helps move workforce into homeownership, freeing up rental units to make room for homeless people seeking to transition into local housing.
