Harvest Dinner to return in September

Local First's Harvest Dinner will be held in person Sept. 25 on the Smiley Lawn.

After a challenging year and a half for food businesses, Local First will showcase the hard work and talent of local restaurateurs and farmers at the dinner.

Local First will also use September to spotlight local restaurants that support the region’s agricultural producers. Each week, there will be a select number of “spotlight specials” from restaurants in Durango. Patrons will have the opportunity to share that they ordered the spotlight special and will be entered to win a free ticket to the Harvest Dinner.

Tickets for the Harvest Dinner cost $125, which includes taxes, gratuities, food, hand-crafted cocktails and hand-selected wines. Tickets are limited, so early purchase is encouraged.

Tickets are available at www.local-first.org/eatlocalmonth.

All proceeds benefit local farmers, restaurants and Local First’s efforts to promote local food purchasing through the local, independent business community. The event is supported by Alpine Bank, the Smiley Building, In the Weeds and the city of Durango, as well as a restaurateurs, farmers, local food supporters and volunteers.
