’Hawks running adds ‘untapped potential’

The Fort Lewis College women’s cross country team added another member.

Erin Renner of Dakota Ridge High School in Lakewood signed a national letter of intent to run for the Skyhawks, FLC head coach Mark Dutro announced this weekend in a news release.

She ran cross country her junior and senior seasons and finished 64th at the CHSAA Class 5A Cross Country State Championships.

“Erin is relatively new to the sport of cross country,” Dutro said. “In her short time she has seen tremendous improvement. We are excited about the level of untapped potential she brings to our program.”

Renner also finished 35th at the Nike Cross Southwest Regionals with a personal-best time of 19 minutes, 46 seconds.
