No injuries reported, city spokesman says

A head-on crash involving a Jeep and a Nissan resulted in the closure of one southbound lane Monday afternoon near 21st Street and Main Avenue.
“One car made a left turn in front of oncoming traffic,” said city spokesman Tom Sluis.
Durango Police Department officers closed the southbound lane to remove the damaged vehicles. No injuries were reported, Sluis said, though one citation was issued.
“It was a head-on crash, but no one was transported to the hospital,” Sluis said. “A citation was issued to one of the drivers.”
Sluis said he was unable to provide the identities of the drivers involved because it was too early in the investigation.
