I feel compelled to answer the recent rash of letters concerning San Juan Basin Health. As a longtime resident and professional in Durango, I came to the health department more than 15 months ago. I was looking for a new professional opportunity and found it! I have been treated with the utmost respect by administration, staff and clients. I am so proud to work with such a caring community of people. Under the current leadership, new innovative programs and ideas are moving to the forefront and many other state agencies and programs are looking to SJBH for examples of ways to collaborate and bring better service to clients in both La Plata and Archuleta counties. I celebrate my job each and every day and cannot wait to get to work!
