Heart Safe La Plata held an award ceremony at halftime of the women's basketball game at Fort Lewis College. The Dec. 18 event was to recognize community members who have used Heart Safe AEDs and CPR training to save lives this year. Nine honorees were present and recognized for their life saving efforts.
Not present but also responsible for saving lives this year were Dawn Marie Lawson, David Haralson, Chris Ziegler, Annie Trebelhorn, Michelle Martinez, and Juan Gallegos.
