Heftier punishment will curb drug use

When recreational marijuana was first legalized in Colorado, many middle schools in the state were held accountable for numerous violations of the drug policy. Today, there are still students and underaged users of marijuana.

What needs to be done to decrease the amount of illegal users is better control and higher levels of punishment. Higher levels of punishment will threaten underaged possessors and teach them a lesson of following the law. Too many teens are being hurt and affected by the use of marijuana they illegally use and possess. Standards and levels of punishment are two major ideas that will be effective when risen.
