I have read the letters of several people criticizing the Herald for not giving a balanced view of the news and ideas (Herald, July 13, July 20.). But these writers have not mentioned what they found missing. If they feel a news item or opinion was overlooked, I wish they would simply write a letter to the editor explaining clearly their viewpoint.
The Herald seems to print every letter unless it contains verifiable slander, foul language or indecent messages. I would like to hear everyone’s views, so then I can choose what values and ideas with which to agree and work toward.
Just saying the paper is not fair and balanced doesn’t show me what folks are finding missing and want to be shared. I believe the Herald does try to represent all views.
