Herald offers much to engage with

What a cerebral smorgasbord recent editions of The Durango Herald have been. Something for everyone.

First of all, thank you Dr. Hallin for speaking truth to power and being the voice this community has been desperately needing the past two years. I can only imagine the dread you are all feeling with the upcoming Snowdown celebration, the persistent marketing by Visit Durango of “sustainable and regenerative tourism,” and the continuing letters to the editor promoting “both sides of the vaccine story.” Thank you for your hard work, and may you and your staff stay safe, sane and healthy.

Perhaps Mike Sigman might want to re-evaluate his “facts.” Hopefully, his letter was written before 11 indictments for seditious conspiracy were handed down by the Justice Department. Or maybe his “news” sources just don’t report such things.

And finally, apparently hell has frozen over, as I found myself agreeing with Denise Murray. She made a valid point about traffic and inconsiderate drivers. It really has gotten out of hand.
