Herald still tries to sit on Obama’s lap

The Founders envisioned a media whose responsibility was to guard liberty against the excesses of government. Today most news outlets promote the government’s position instead.

In particular, I feel sorry for The Durango Herald. For seven years it has attempted to jump onto Obama’s lap only to find the space already taken by the panting, tail-wagging big dogs such as NBC, CBS, MSNBC, ABC, CNN and The New York Times.

The Herald gets an A for effort, though. It continues to jump.
