After reading the editorial, “silencing Gazas journalists silences the world,” (Herald, Aug. 31), accusing Israel of every conceivable crime ever committed, they cowered in the face of some graffiti scribbled in chalk on their front steps. The result, they write an editorial shilling for a Durango Palestinian group. This is the Palestinian group that had a yard sale in June where a lady behind the table told me directly that the Oct. 7 massacre was “debunked” and Israelis were raping Palestinians. The Herald must be proud endorsing this group.
Many Hamas terrorists pose as “journalists.” Gaza is a war zone; death is a given. Maybe the Herald should lay blame for Hamas starting a war they can't finish.
The Herald quoted faulty civilian casualty numbers from the Gaza Health Ministry, run by Hamas. A Hamas audit in early 2025 removed thousands of names of falsified deaths. Please research Herald, that’s journalism 101.
Reality check to the Herald and this Durango Palestinian group. There will be no Palestinian state anytime soon. Hamas ruined any chance on Oct. 7. Israelis witnessed the carnage from Hamas, so ‘Never Again’ means ‘Never Again.’
Luckily, this Durango Palestinian group live in a safe, peaceful town with no skin in the game. Scribble on the sidewalks, chant your vacuous slogans, wear your silly kaffiyehs, and scream to the sky. The Jewish nation is not going anywhere. Israel has been around for thousands of years. And Israel and the Jews will be around for a thousand more years. You can bank on that.
