Planning is continuing for this year's Bayfield Heritage Days & Sheep Trailing on Sept. 25 and 26. The next planning committee meeting is 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at the Pine River Library. Anyone interested in Hertage Days is welcome to participate.
Sign-ups are now open for arts/ crafts or food vendor spaces in Joe Stephenson Park on Saturday, Sept. 26. The fee is $35 if you are selling anything. No flea market type items please. There is no charge for craft demonstrations or community service spaces if nothing is being sold.
Friday, Sept. 25, will be the Heritage Days kickoff brisket dinner with music by The Worleys and then the Bar-D Wranglers, a fundraiser for the Pine River Heritage Society Museum. Saturday events start at 8 a.m. with the family fun run hosted by Boy Scout Troop 506. The Brown family sheep will come through on the Buck Highway somewhere around 9 a.m., followed by the old-time parade on Mill Street, then family fun activities and entertainment in Joe Stephenson Park.
