Here’s a radical concept. Actually put your turn signals on when you’re going all the way around the roundabout.
The one on Florida Road has become a race track of those roaring around and paying no attention to anyone else. If you are coming from the north, this little act just might let folks know they can continue from the south and not get clobbered. Same with the south and coming down the hill.
Florida Road has become an overcrowded mini NASCAR track with people constantly speeding and trying to whip around the roundabout, no doubt saving them a whole three or four seconds.
Traffic in Durango is getting to be a nightmare and everyone is in a big hurry, or yapping on phones or whatever. Slow down, pay attention and – no doubt this will be a heavy burden – put your turn signals on when you are going round the roundabout.
